Akhmat's Troops Return to The Special Military Operations Zone

Akhmat's troops have returned to the Special Military Operations Zone after temporarily moving to Rostov-on-Don to help Russia suppress PMC Wagner forces.

Apty Aludinov, commander of the Special Forces Unit Akhmat, who is also Deputy Commander of the Russian 2nd Army Corps, told TASS.

"We have not completely removed Akhmat from the front.

Only those units that can be replaced by others are eliminated.

Currently, Akhmat's unit is gradually returning to the special military operation zone to continue working on the liberation of Maryinka," he said.
Akhmat fighters were sent to Rostov-on-Don, according to Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov, to control the situation.

On the evening of June 23, several audio recordings were posted on the Telegram channel of PMC Wagner leader Evgeny Prigozhin.

In particular, he claimed that his unit had been attacked, which he blamed on the country's military authorities.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry called the alleged attack on PMC Wagner "fake news".

On Saturday evening, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko coordinated with Russian President Vladimir Putin, then held talks with Prigozhin to work out a de-escalation plan.

Prigozhin further ruled that PMC Wagner stop the movement of his convoy, which appeared to be headed for Moscow, turn it around, and return to field camp.
